Professional tennis player and entrepreneur Serena Williams celebrated her second wedding anniversary with her husband Alexis Ohanian on Saturday, November 16.

Taking to Instagram, Serena shared a beautiful message to the Initialized Capital and Reddit co-founder. She captioned an image of the two of them on their wedding day, “2 years and counting.... @alexisohanian is still putting up with me.”
Serena later shared a video of a combination of quirky and silly images of Alexis with the caption, “2 years and counting happy anniversary my love @alexisohanian.”
Alexis also went on Instagram to celebrate his union with the 23-time Grand Slam winner.

Talking to Allure, Serena shared the secret to balancing her marriage and her career, “Oprah said, ‘Never let anyone dim your light.’ That really stuck with me. Alexis doesn’t dim my light. He puts me in the light, even if I don’t want to be. He pushes me to further points I never thought about.”
“It always was something that I could see in some relationships — my light would be dimmer. Now I feel like I can shine really bright and still do everything that I want to do.” Serena adds.
On their anniversary, the pair decided to try the popular Popeyes Sandwich, and although the sandwich was missing the one essential ingredient, pickles, Serena seemed to have enjoyed the sandwich and later shared a post on her Instagram story, “Have I known life before this day?”
