The inspirational factor on Instagram is what many look to, but often our favourite fashion icons are not on the photo-sharing app. Many designers and celebrities have self-hosted accounts but some don’t - and thanks to social media users who can spot a cultural need, they created fan accounts for others to enjoy.

At times people use fan accounts to amass social media followings or some create them for financial gain, but sometimes it’s just important for cultural record. Having a photographic record of fashion icons like Eartha Kitt or Audrey Hepburn or even Anna Wintour is a blessing on the feed.

But a passionate social media user took the initiative to create a fan account for one of the highest authorities in fashion, called Wintourworld.

Miuccia Prada

'What Miuccia Wore' is an Instagram account created by Guillaume Lavoie to share the style of Italian fashion designer Miuccia Prada. The Miu Miu founder doesn’t have an Instagram account either, and has a conservative online presence as well, but thanks to Guillaume, a curated page of Miuccia fashion looks is only a fingertip away.
