General overview: Libra (September 23 - October 22)

After a rollercoaster year you now need to start consolidating and prioritising things. Let go of scattering your energy in too many different places.

2018 can be an abundant year if you budget and streamline things to work for you. Patience and persistence are the tools needed to build your way up and anchor things to last for the long run.

Saturn joins Pluto in the sign of Capricorn forcing you to look closer to your home commitments and work on your own foundations rather than worrying about everybody else’s.

Love and relationships

With Jupiter flavouring the house of self-esteem, you have the opportunity to attract positivity into your life because you are in a good space.

The trick is to use this good luck energy to work for you for the long run and try to rely on your own resources rather than wait for others to join the party.

This can be a great time to break away from bad choices and cut your losses. You may get a second reminder closer to the end of the year as to why you need to make these changes as Uranus moves back briefly into Aries.

The erratic undercurrent that has been flavouring your house of relationship starts to ebb giving you the chance to catch your breath.

Use this time to step into your power boots and call the shots with confidence.

Saturn moves into a strong place, enhancing the desire to take on more responsible roles and commit to a long term commitment – this can be having a baby or getting married or setting clear boundaries that help you to feel more secure.

Work and money

You have the chance to attract opportunities to you this year. Use the abundance of Jupiter to bring the money in rather than spend it like water.

Budget, save and work wisely with the opportunities you attract this year. You may feel ready to invest in (or sell) a house or a piece of land.

Your public and private life may swing out of balance as work or family demand a lot of your time and energy. This means that you might need to make some conscious decisions to help maintain the balance between your working life and your family time, while still find a moment for yourself.

Financial or personal investments may suddenly take a different turn and you may get forced to work more independently. Try not to resist this as this ultimately will give you the independence and the power that is needed to be more self sufficient.

So the bottom line for 2018 is to focus on working your finances in a way that it can support and work for you for the long run.
