Boniswa hides behind her children and Loyiso gets ominous news. News of Dintle's elevation is not good news for everyone. Lindiwe tests the waters and lies about associating with her father's enemy. Boniswa manages to diffuse an explosive situation, blissfully unaware that sensitive information will fall into the wrong hands. Dintle's passion for her work impresses a new ally and annoys an old foe. Lindiwe is on a race with her parents to connect with Scelo first. Yvonne calls a spade a spade and buries Boniswa alive with it. Dintle branches into new avenues for Scandal!'s benefit with Layla as collateral damage. Devastation mars what should be a joyful day for the Ngemas. Loyiso goes against Boniswa's wishes and gives a member of her family some good advice. Two people get stood up and end up having dinner together. Zinzile and Lindiwe lie to Mlungisi, but will he believe them?                                                Boniswa is furious when Chumani goes public with a personal matter. Layla is surprised by the identity of her online date. Kgosi is curious about Caiphus's dealings.
