How addicted are you to your phone?

accreditation

It is the first thing we reach for when we wake up and the last thing we look at when we sleep.

When we can’t find it we fly into a state of panic. We use it to communicate, connect, research, direct and entertain.

Smart phones really have become an integral part of life.  But has it taken over your life?

According to Forbes, a recent study has shown that people have become so attached to their phones, that they view them as an extension of themselves. This means that when they are separated from their phone, they experience a real sense of loss that can negatively affect how they perform simple tasks.

This is known as Phone Separation Anxiety (PSA) and it’s not the only smart phone “condition” going around.

Fear of being offline or FOBO is another condition that is claiming our smart phone addicted generation. We have become so accustomed to having the internet in the palm of our hand, that even the thought of being offline, terrifies us to the core.

This is why iFix have decided to create a mobile testing unit and gadget repair clinic, to help those who simply cannot go a minute without their beloved phone. The clinic will check their degree of PSA and/or FOBO, and even offers to fix your phone while you wait.

If you think you may suffer from PSA or FOBO, iFix have set up a questionnaire to assess the degree of your condition, so you can start to work on it immediately.

A good way to determine if you have PSA or FOBO is to see how often you interact with your phone.

So how often do you check your phone?
