When his wife told him they’d be going to an Insta-famous holiday resort, he used the opportunity to recreate all the popular poses to a T!
Imgur user Jason Gilbert, from Georgia in America, flew to Ponta dos Ganchos – a luxury resort in Brazil – on honeymoon with his wife Chandler.
Soaking up the Brazilian sun, Jason, who is a humour writer, decided for fun to try copy some of the poses he’d often seen Instagram models do in the same spot.
“When my wife told me our honeymoon resort was a hotspot for Brazilian Instagram models, I knew what I had to do: painstakingly recreate their photos during our precious vacation time,” Jason wrote on Imgur, a website that regularly shares snaps that have gone viral on social media.
From posing alongside the pool to elegantly donning a poncho on the beach, Jason placed the original images and his DIY poses side-by-side and he absolutely nailed them!
The post racked up more than 176 000 views on Imgur, with users finding his efforts totally hilarious.
“I think it's pretty obvious who wore it better,” said one user.
“Actually, you’re pretty good! Ever think of modelling?” said another.
