A woman has called out her boyfriend on Twitter after he sent her a text message suggesting she should make more of an effort to dress up for him.
Harriet, aka @disneypr1nc3ss, shared a screenshot of a recent text exchange with her boyfriend, who gets candid about the fact that she wore a dressing gown when he visited her.
The tweet, now pinned to the top of her Twitter page reads, “Warning girls do not wear a dressing gown when he comes round x”.
In the now infamous screenshot, her unnamed boyfriend says, “Why do you dress like that when I’m not there rather than when I am there?”
Harriet replies: “I don’t dress to impress.”
Unhappy with her response, he goes on to add that it annoys him, stating “Yesterday you were sat there in your greasing [dressing] gown.”
“Doesn’t hurt to put some nice clothes on”.
Harriet held her own and fired back with an expletive, before broadcasting his insensitive comments online for everyone to see.
Twitter was up in arms at Harriet’s beau’s comments – and they seemed equally offended by his typo.
Harriet’s tweet has since received more than 13 000 likes, 14 000 retweets – along with hundreds of witty comments from people urging her to leave her boyfriend.
