A 109-year-old man who knits jerseys for penguins will give you hope

accreditation
This is possibly the cutest, most heart-warming thing you'll see this year.

Alfred Date (109), the oldest man in Australia, has no idea how to say ‘no’ to favours, according to Nine News.

In 2014, he was asked by two nurses, at the retirement home he currently lives in, to help knit little wool jerseys for the Phillip Island’s Penguin Foundation to help penguins who were injured in an oil spill.

And the result was just so freakin’ adorable. The entire Women24 team is feeling so emotional right now (yes, even the intern who scares us).

But can you blame us? I mean, look at this:

Alfred doesn't knit for the little penguins anymore, since the foundation received such an amazing amount of donations. Yet he still knits for friends and makes beanies for premature babies. Awww...

No, I’m not crying. I have something in my eye, that’s all.
