Here are 11 cleaning hacks you can use even if you feel a bit lazy

accreditation

Your house or flat looks like a tornado hit it and you need to clean up a little bit, but you’re just so lazy.

You’d much rather be in bed watching some new Netflix series but the dishes in the sink, the dust on the blinds and the stains on the carpet aren't going to take care of themselves.

So while these cleaning tips do actually require you to get up and do something, they require minimal effort so you’ll done and back on the couch in no time.

Clean your blender in a flash

Add some warm water and a little dish soap, blend or pulse and then rinse out the blender. It should be perfectly clean, but if there’s bits of stuck-on food then just let it soak in hot water for a little while.

White vinegar, water and liquid detergent are amazing when mixed together

It can clean up just about anything from soap scum to weird stains in the toilet - even deeply entrenched stains on your carpet. You’ll have to change up the formula depending on the job, but here’s a list of ways to mix up the formula for each one.

Get those stains out of your carpet

Before you try the mixture mentioned above, you might want to try putting a wet towel over the stain and then ironing over it to try and get the stain out.

Use chalk or baby powder to get rid of grease stains

Popsugar recommends using chalk  to dry up a grease stain on your jeans or favourite top, letting it sit overnight and then washing as normal. You can also use baby powder.

Clean your blinds in no time

All you need is a pair of tongs, two rags and rubber bands. Wrap the rags around the front parts of the tongs and secure with the rubber bands, then use them to dust your blinds by dusting both sides of the slats at the same time.

Vodka has more than one use

If your furniture or clothes are smelling a little off, then mix vodka, an essential oil of your choice and water into a spray bottle, shake and spray onto your clothes and furniture to freshen them up. Get the recipe here.

When my daughter was reaching the crawling stage, I remember going through all my cleaning products and feeling overwhelmed & defeated. I wanted to make the change to rid us from chemicals & simplify our products but at the same time I didn't know exactly where to start. I felt like I didn't have enough time to do all the research, change everything we already had and make the switch. If this sounds like you and you haven't made the leap yet, I'm here to tell ya that it's super simple & I'm so happy we did it. Either use up your existing cleaning products or donate them to a friend who uses them. Then mix up an all purpose cleaner AND you can do it with only 2 ingredients: 1) water 2) vinegar (I usually do a little more than 1/3 vinegar and the rest water) For an extra punch you can add 20-30 drops of lemon essential oil as it's a powerful cleaning agent, air purifier & great disinfectant on surfaces. BUT, those top 2 ingredients alone will do the trick. Companies have done a great job at marketing why we need every product under the sun to do each different job but honestly, it's just not true. Granted, a lot of those products work great but are they necessary... no. Are they littered with chemicals... most likely yes. Make the switch if you're thinking about it. It'll be easier on your shopping trips, it'll simplify your household products, it's much cheaper, it'll be healthier for you and whoever lives with you & of course better on our environment. Pictured here is a glass reusable spray bottle that comes in a set of 2 by Europa Essentials. You can always wash out your existing spray bottles and just repurpose those. It's that simple. . . #simplify #lessproducts #lesswaste #lessplastic #ecofriendlyproducts #diy #lesschemicals #environmentallyfriendly #ecoconscious #earthfriendly #homesweethome #lessismore #allpurpose #cleaner #reuseable #reusablebottle #spraybottle #kitchen #bathroom #livingroom #bedroom #allinone #ecokids #crawling #babies
