If you own a TV, chances are you’ve seen an episode of some show or documentary about a seriously messy house.

And, no, we’re not talking about not dusting or vacuuming for a week. We mean MESSY. Like can’t-live-in-this-house-anymore-because-it’s-become-a-health-hazard-messy.

So, we’ve decided to do a little round up of the worst ones we could find and they’re bad. Like really bad.

Don’t just take my word for it, check out the videos below:

This house was foreclosed on and then bought by a property management group.

The video was shot by an air con repairman, who was sent to the address to inspect the AC. He found, what he calls “one of the most disgusting houses that I have ever been in”.

The worst part? Kids were living here.

This house in California is an absolute mess. Like you might want to throw up after you watch this video. The floors are covered in dog poop and the ceilings are covered in cobwebs. The state of the bathroom will leave you feeling very unclean.

Not quite sure what the story is behind this one, but this house is FILTHY.

This home has actually been named ‘The Dirtiest House in the Country’ (USA) by the Style Network’s Clean House. Watch as the show’s crew removes waste in order for the house to be cleaned and repaired.

Apparently this video doesn’t even do justice to what the house looked like before cleaning started - and that is saying something.

While we can be stunned and amazed by the state of these homes and some may see it as entertaining, also remember that obsessive hoarding is a mental illness and if you know anyone who is showing signs of serious hoarding then you need to get them some help.
