A 52-year-old Indian actor proves age is just a number after dating a flight attendant 34 years his junior.
Milind Soman, who’s also a model and fitness promoter, is a well-known Indian actor facing backlash for his relationship with 18-year-old Ankita Konwar.
The Bollywood star recently posted an array of vacation pictures on Instagram, celebrating his birthday in Tromso, Norway, with his new young lass.
The cute photos have since gone viral and have sparked both outrage and support on social media. However, Milind is clearly not bothered about the age difference between him and his sweetheart, The Sun reported.
According to The New York Post, Soman, who was born in Scotland and lived in England till the age of seven, whereafter the family moved back to India, has seriously divided people’s opinions after striking up a relationship with Ankita.
The smitten couple have been together for four months, since Milind divorced his wife of four years, Mylene Jampanoi (37).
Dating expert Tammy Shaklee, who’s the founder of a matchmaking site, told the Post she doesn’t think the age gap between Milind and Ankita are a “dealbreaker.”
“I do believe everyone deserves their special someone, whatever that looks like to them,” she says.
“I do know couples with a 30-year age difference who are genuinely in love.”
Fans of the model took toTwitter to voice their opinion on the rather unconventional relationship.
"All the idiots supporting Milind Soman ? imagine that is your daughter. Legal, illegal, of age or not ? would you still approve [of] it??" asks one Twitter user.
"I just caught up on the Milind Soman outrage. Two consenting adults . . . You don't have to approve. They didn't ask for your approval.”
“I’m inspired by Milind Soman’s story. I’m waiting for my boyfriend to be born anytime now,” another person joked.
