Here are 5 dating tips for women in new relationships, according to a love and success mentor

There are thousand books written that teach us about how to handle our relationships, however, most of them end up contradicting each other.

In one book you are meant to make yourself available and chase love and on the other you are meant to keep yourself to yourself, not be too available or the potential partner will think you're easy.

At this point all we can do is get as much advice as possible, bearing in mind that relationships are very personal and no one person can really say they have all the answers.

Love and success mentor, Camille Thurnherr, takes us through what she believes are the top 5 dating tips for women in new relationships:

-          Don’t give away your pearls too quickly

It is important to take it slowly and avoid having sex too soon (or out of any form of pressure).

-          Don’t put all your eggs in one basket

Don’t fall in love too quickly, it is important to keep your options open.

-          Assuming love will just turn up

Most ladies do not go to dates as they’re waiting for love to find them, however it is unlikely that a partner will magically appear. You need to actively seek your potential partner.

-          Don’t fall for potential

A lot of women tend to fall in love with people who need a lot of 'fixing' or are just not ready for commitment. Falling in love with someone with potential, who has a drug problem, still stays with their parents or just came out of jail might not be a great idea.

-          Don’t give too much, too soon.

Women tend to start cooking for a new partner, doing laundry, cleaning and buy them gifts too early into the new relationship and even when none of this 'pampering' is returned.

The initial stage of dating is not about doing things to impress someone else. It might serve you best to just be yourself, enjoy the new relationship and not try too hard to 'keep' the other party in love with you.

Your authentic self will be irresistible to the right partner for you.
