Raymond Juliano from New York in the US, wanted to do something different and go all out to propose to his girlfriend, Charnelle. He decided to stage a store robbery so that he could ask her the big question, Fox News reports.

The store’s security footage shows the couple looking very much in love shopping for beer and snacks until a man storms into the store with a gun.

The man carrying a fake gun, points the weapon to the cashier and demands he hand him the cash in the register, Daily Mail reports.

The actor then runs out of the store but then returns and screams: “Back, back” at the couple, pointing the gun at them and forcing them to go to the back of the store.

The fake robber then walk towards them and starts questioning them. He asked whether they have kids and wanted to know why they’re not married.

He asked Raymond what he’s going to do about it and gave him a box containing the engagement ring. Raymond then turns to his terrified girlfriend, who’s crying and fearing for her life, and pops the question, The Sun reports.

“Are you serious?” Chanelle asked her beau when she realised that he’s proposing.

The bride-to-be then said yes before asking her fiancé to pass her a beer from the store fridge.

Raymond did, however, make it up to Chanelle by proposing for a second time in a more fitting, less life-threatening way. He surprised her by going down on one knee on a bridge in Manhattan’s Central Park.

“I felt bad. I was just going for scared, not horribly petrified. And also I don’t think that’s the proposal she wants to look back on,” Raymond says.
