If dating apps haven’t yet provided you with true love and you're still frantically swiping right to no avail, it turns out your job might not be sexy enough.
Dating apps have provided us with the liberty to be picky without offending anyone. You carelessly swipe through a sea of faces until you land on one that sticks. And if you are motivated enough you go on a date within hours.
It's no secret that when looking for a potential beau, we want to know their political views, their height, likes and dislikes, and their job title.

A research study conducted by dating app The Inner Circle recorded the professions of 5,000 of their most popular users and analysed which careers got the most positive responses, Bustle reports.
The analysis from the study included members based in London, New York, Amsterdam, Paris, LA, Sydney and Toronto.
So, when it comes to jobs titles, which are the fairest of them all?
The findings revealed that women working in finance came out on top, they attracted the most right swipes in the United Kingdom.
Number two goes to women who work in health or medicine - so our nurses, pharmacists and doctors are definitely ranking high in the dating app world. There's something about saving lives that many people can't say no to.
Women in the law also made the list of attractive job titles in profile biographies. So, if you're a lawyer go ahead and make it known on your dating profile.
Although finance came out on top, marketing is considered the sexiest profession for a woman according to the study. Women who can sell and have an insatiable curiosity get a thumbs up.

Now fashionistas also rank reasonably, especially in Paris - one of the capitals of fashion. According to the study, women in fashion were all found to be most likely to receive right swipes too.
So, can your job really find you love?

CEO and founder of The Inner Circle, David Vermeulen, says in a statement to Bustle that job choice plays a crucial role in who gets picked on dating apps.
“Knowing what a potential date does for a living helps to build a picture of who they are and what they do. But meeting the perfect match goes far beyond that,” he said.
On the other hand, the study says men who get more right swipes are those working in finance, technology, medicine as well as those in consulting and real estate.
We asked some South African women about the professions they find attractive on dating apps.
"I honestly prefer doctors, engineers and CEO's of recognisable companies. I definitely swipe right on those," says 23-year old Thuli*.
28-year-old Lizzy* says she is more concerned about the job title of the potential date. "For me it's not so much about profession but position. So if you are working in a certain company, I care more about the position you hold than anything else," she says.
On the other hand, 25- year-old Zoe* says she just wants a comfortable life. "I'm not too concerned about a person's profession, I just want someone who can take care of the bills and still be comfortable. Most importantly, he must not be in debt," she comments.
"I like creative and artistic guys. So I normally go on dates with graphic designers, painters, architects and established writers," says 27 year old Zama*.
Madamenoire advises that you consider the character of your potential partner because jobs do not necessarily guarantee happiness.
“ Yes, it’s an old wives’ tale that “there’s no finance without romance,” but you also can’t trade qualities like consistency, loyalty and passion,” they said.
