Daniel who is from London first followed American, Sarah on the app after she came up as a suggested account to follow, ten minutes later, Sarah followed back and then invited him to sing a duet of Ed Sheeran’s Shape of You with her.

The two took their chats to a different social media platform, Instagram, where two weeks after knowing each other Sarah flew from Boston (U.S.) to London to meet the man who would soon become her husband.

“We didn’t tell anyone at first that we are on the app as it was embarrassing. Our moms knew our videos from TikTok and they knew who each of us were before they met,” the couple says.

Sarah was in London for 11 days before Daniel came to visit her in the U.S. in December last year.

They spent Christmas together in New York and New Years in Las Vegas. In January the following year, Sarah flew back to London, and in February Daniel proposed in Boston.

The couple tied the knot in a chapel in Las Vegas and spent the next 11 days after the wedding, touring Los Angeles, Boston and Chicago as an immediate honeymoon. The married couple now lives in the UK while Sarah awaits her permanent visa.
