You’re unhappy with yourself
Being content
with yourself and life in general has a way that reflects positively in
your relationship. If you're not happy with yourself, it could cause many problems. It can be hard to love someone else when you can't love yourself. Change this by working on yourself first before getting into any partnership. Look deeper within you, get professional help if you need to and learn to forgive yourself and let go of festering issues from your past.
You like bringing up the past
It’s
okay to take your time forgiving your partner for whatever wrong
doings he might have made, but very unfair to remind him of it every other
second. If your partner has shown remorse and you both choose to let it go, then leave it in the past. Don't bank your hurts because you will bring it up each time you have a disagreement. Deal with it and be done with it as it happens.
You’re still stuck in your past relationships
Maybe
things didn’t go as you expected with the one you thought was the love of
life or you just can't seem to forget about an ex. Starting a
relationship with baggage is never a good idea, at some point it’s all
going to come up and affect your relationship. It's unfair to your new partner and you should consider how they feel every time you compare them to your ex or assume that they'll hurt you just like your ex did.
You overshare on social media
Using
social media is all good and well, but it becomes a problem when you post every little detail on it. People don’t want to read about the
fight you guys had. Take a hard look at how you’ve been using social media and see
if this isn’t the reason behind many of your unsuccessful relationships.
You want everything to be perfect
You aren’t perfect, your partner isn’t as well. The upside about imperfect relationships is that, it creates room for change and growth. Get rid of the ‘perfect relationship’ mindset, and watch your relationship flourish on its own terms.
You don’t show any appreciation
It’s
very easy to take your partner for granted after being together for
quiet some time and that’s where problems start. If you give your partner
reason to feel unappreciated, he will eventually give up on you and the
relationship. Also, wonderful things happen when there's appreciation and kindness in relationships – your partner will treat you the same.
