Which is why she was amused when he sent her a list of expectations of her potential boyfriend.

Rule 2: He must be [a] Celtic supporter

Rule 3: He must be working

Rule 4:  I must like him

Rule 5: He must like me

Rule 7: He must never look at another girl while in this relationship

Rule 8: He must be very kind

He also said the guy she dates must be working, be financially well off and have his own car and he clearly doesn’t want to have to deal with someone he dislikes.

But the one rule that got most people talking is number ten, where he says the guy must always offer to pay the bill whenever in his company.

“I keep rereading this. I’m so in love with him, commented one, while another said: “I love how he’s got to pay for your grandpa, too. Very, very important.”

Another one clearly entertained wrote: “Is he wanting his dinner paid for ha.”

Some of Amie's followers said they could relate because they also have adorable protective family members.

One Twitter user commented: "The first four rules would defo be ma granda for anybody."

"This is papa so much," joked one, while another admitted: "that's me with my daughter. She never listens though."

In the end of the list grandpa William wrote, “ok that’s so so far…," implying that the list could possibly be longer.

Dating is already so hard and Amie's grandfather is clearly not about to make it any easier.

One Twitter user joked: “you’re are going to be single forever.”
