21-year old Amie McHugh says she has always been very close with her granddad William, whom she says has always been there for her.
“He lives a two-minute walk away so I get to see him nearly every day,” she said on Twitter.
She loves sharing her grandfather with her followers on social media and in one picture she posted of him she wrote: “heart and soul” complete with heart emojis in case there was any confusion.
Which is why she was amused when he sent her a list of expectations of her potential boyfriend.

He also said the guy she dates must be working, be financially well off and have his own car and he clearly doesn’t want to have to deal with someone he dislikes.
But the one rule that got most people talking is number ten, where he says the guy must always offer to pay the bill whenever in his company.
“I keep rereading this. I’m so in love with him, commented one, while another said: “I love how he’s got to pay for your grandpa, too. Very, very important.”

One Twitter user commented: "The first four rules would defo be ma granda for anybody."
Ma da and grampa always ask two same questions when I'm seeing some boy. 1. Who does he support? 2. Is he English? ??

"This is papa so much," joked one, while another admitted: "that's me with my daughter. She never listens though."
