Top tips on how to use a vibrator

accreditation
These versatile sex toys are specifically designed to stimulate your various erogenous zones and every woman deserves to own at least one and better still, many.

They’re perfect for those solo moments when all you want is to kick back and de-stress and they’re a must have addition when you and your partner are working towards a grand and glorious mutual climax.

To get the best from your vibrator follow these simple principles and you can look forward to many hours of unbridled pleasure:

Becoming acquainted with a new vibrator

Unwrap with care and spend some time getting to know your new toy well, after all the two of you are going to become very intimate friends.

Figure out what makes it tick and purr and pulsate. If it needs to be plugged in and charged before use, if it’s waterproof, remember to  pull it out of the socket before switching it on – vibrators are designed to please us not shock us.

If it’s batteries that are needed to get it going, make sure you have enough of the right ones before you decide to get down and doing it.

Also always clean your vibrator well before first use and from then on each time the two of you have been sharing precious moments.

We suggest Nature Fresh Probiotic Spray for this purpose but otherwise use an alkaline soap and water. If your vibrator is not waterproof, be careful not to get any water in or near the battery case / charging mechanism while cleaning it.

Play with speed

Experiment with the buttons and switches so that you’re aware of all the alternatives, you’ll never know what feels best if you haven’t tried them all. Most vibrators have at least two speed settings.

Start on a lower one and work your way up.

If they all feel too strong at first blush, try less pressure or put a towel between yourself and it until you’ve grown accustomed to and are enjoying the more intense stimulation.

You may find that some areas respond well to a lower speed while others just lap up the stronger vibrations. That’s the beauty of these toys; you can regulate them to suit your needs perfectly.

Remember that with a travel-safe vibrator you’ll need to hold down the on/off switch for longer than usual.

What's safe for penetration?

Some vibrators are meant for external stimulation only so check that yours is safe for internal penetration before giving it a go.

It must be made from body-safe seamless 100% silicone and should be smooth and not have any rough edges or absorb bodily fluids or lubricants.

Before penetration, always use a water and not a silicone based lubricant on your vibrator as silicone lubes are detrimental to sex toys, especially if they are made from silicone.

Safety first

When one of you is using a vibrator on the other, for extra variation in vibration, tighten your grip and your hand will absorb some of the action, then loosen up and let the full effect cone through at the perfect moment.

You can also apply aphrodisiac massage oil to the erogenous zones to intensify the pleasure and sensations produced by the vibrator. To activate the oil’s heating effect, just blow softly on the spot and voila!

Battery operated

Get in the habit of taking the batteries out of your vibrator each time you’re finished using it. If you leave them in you could accidently leave it on low, and this might cause the motor to burn out just at a time when you most crave release.

Also, if for some strange reason your vibrator remains unused for a while with the batteries in place, they might corrode and leak into the case, which would render your dear friend useless and leave you very frustrated.

It’s important to note that if a vibrator requires batteries, it is possibly not waterproof, so check this aspect before taking the plunge.

There are a few very clever battery operated vibrators that come with ingenious waterproof designs; such as the Sweet Touch Clitoral Vibrator, Fonzie, Bcute Classic, Bcute Curve and the I Rub My Duckie.

he beauty of a vibrator is that as long as you play your part, it will always be a willing accomplice, ready and willing when you are, no questions asked and great pleasure given.
