Twenty-four year old Nikki Harvey changed her life forever when she lost more than 31 kilograms to achieve her body goals and get healthier.

In 2014 she was miserable because she couldn’t fit into any of her clothes anymore.

“I was a size 16, drinking, smoking, living off junk food and generally pretty miserable,” she told Fox news.

This all changed when she met her 26-year-old personal trainer boyfriend, Jordan Burgess.

“He’s a rugby player and he caught me crying to myself in my bedroom when I couldn’t fit into my size 14 clothes,”

“He told me anyone can turn their life around and inspired me to get healthy and take up fitness and bodybuilding,” said Nikki.

From then she began a 14-week programme and never looked back. However, reaching her goal also all but killed her sex drive.

A study by the University of North Carolina on people’s exercise habits and libido levels revealed that excessive exercise can kill desire.

It showed that the exhaustion people experience from training leaves some too tired to want anything else but sleep in the bedroom.

Extreme exercise can lead to an under-functioning pituitary gland, meaning low levels of testosterone and oestrogen.

Nikki knows all about this.

“My libido’s vanished,” she told Fox news.

“It really impacts on my relationship. I haven’t been on a date night with Jordan since January,”

She added she and her boyfriend have not had sex in the past two months and she has zero sex drive.

“Jordan hates it but he knows it’s not because I don’t fancy him.

I love my training so much that two months ago I quit my job to do it full time,” she said.

“My libido might be gone but I look better and am now so much healthier,”

“I just hope that Jordan will stick by me without sex.”
