Jeffrey Kendall’s amazing transformation was shared on social media – and his appearance has been compared to the prince in the Beauty and the Beast animation.
“It gave my ego a big boost,” Jeffrey told People.
The comparison has helped to motivate him further to exercise and watch what he eats.
His mother’s illness was one of the main reasons he was initially motivated to turn things around for himself. She was in intensive care in hospital in July 2015 due to a blood clot in her brain. She spent weeks in hospital and fell into a coma twice.
When she eventually went home, Jeff cared for her and sank into a paralysing depression.
He weighed 113kg and realised that high blood pressure could soon put him in the same boat as his ailing mother.
After Jeff’s good friend got dumped by his girlfriend he asked Jeff if he wanted to start exercising with him and the two started a fitness routine.
Jeff also began doing yoga by following yoga videos on Youtube.
Now with all the positive feedback he’s getting on social media Jeff hopes to start modelling full time.
