A 10-year-old girl has taken care of her mom for more than four years since she suffered a brain haemorrhage that left her with the mental capabilities of a small child.
Cai Chenchen, from Sichuan in China, was six years old when her mom, Chen Li, had a brain haemorrhage.
Cai says she remembers the day her mother arrived home from the hospital and couldn’t call her by her name.

That was when she started teaching her mom to speak, read and write again.
"Earlier on my mother was the one to teach me how to read and now it’s my turn," Cai told local media.
Her father works in the family’s shop to cover the medical bills and her brother is in high school, so it was left to Cai to support her mother.
She also makes sure that Chen Li takes her medication and helps her with physical therapy.
