‘City Angel’ acknowledged for her noble work

The house will be home to 11 abandoned and abused children who are currently under her care.

“I always knew that one day God would answer my prayers and we would get a house.  I am so thankful to the people who made my prayers come true – not for me but for the children,” says Mrs Booysen.

Christine Booysen is a woman with a big heart who has made it her life’s mission to help house vulnerable children in the high-risk suburb of Lavender Hill.

Feeding and caring for more than 50 abandoned and abused children, she relies on a limited income and the goodwill of others to provide for those in her care.

The Table of Peace and Unity has raised over R14million for vulnerable children over the past 12 years. The house purchased for Christine, her husband and the 11 children who are in her permanent care, is located in Westlake. Westlake is a safer community where the whole family can start afresh.

Cat Construction has generously sponsored a portion of the cost of the construction for this worthy cause. The house will include four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge and kitchen, and garden for the children.

Any donations for the furnishing of the house or the schooling needs of the children would be greatly appreciated.
