I think Alicia keys hit the nail on the head in the song Superwoman when she says “Even when I’m a mess I still put on a vest with an S on my chest”.
We have time after time managed to soldier our way through the toughest challenges and we still manage to give love no matter how defeated, hurt or broken we’ve felt. I can’t help but wonder how futile this world would be without us?
Keeping in mind the saying “Behind every great man there is a great woman”, I honestly think our male counterparts would struggle to keep it together if we weren’t here to help them…
We asked our great readers what they love most about being a woman, and here is what some had to say:
Talitha: Being able to carry a baby inside us. It's the most unbelievable experience I've ever had!!
Matshepo: I can wear stilettos and carry my baby and make it look so effortless.
Cathy: Everything and more, the right to choose, the right to be heard, wearing his clothes and seeing that they look better on you, displaying our emotions and being a mother.
Sikhona: To carry a little soul inside of you, Wow that’s amazing. And I enjoy being on my high heeled shoes.
Marlene: We always make the rules, and then change them.
Zandile: I multi task, I’m a boss, a mother and a wife.
Ferial: I can blame my once a month tantrum on ... PMS and it’s accepted!!!
