US anti-gay billboard model, actually openly gay South African interior designer

accreditation

A controversial billboard in Richmond, Virginia, had all the intentions of promoting "ex-gay" ideology in their campaign but instead has used an unlikely candidate to advertise their cause.

The ad depicts two men, one dressed in a suit and the other in a white T-shirt, and says: "Identical twins: One gay. One not."

By this they are promoting their campaign that "No one is born gay."

The only problem is, a) Kyle Roux does not have a twin and b) he happens to be gay – and openly so.

The public notice, which was paid for by Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays, PFOX, attempts to promote that being gay has nothing to do with genetics and claims that homosexuality is a choice/learned behaviour that can be actually be "fixed."

Poor Kyle posed for stock images over a decade ago and is now reaping all the "glory" of an anti-gay campaign. And he will not stand for it.

"It just seems like there’s no place in today’s world for an organisation that is promoting this as being some kind of deviant or distasteful lifestyle, because I've lived my life openly gay and happy for my entire life, It’s actually quite a big thing that there is this kind of discrimination and borderline hate speech going on, you know," said Kyle regarding the matter.

Dr J. Michael Bailey, an author of one of the studies along with a few other scientists and gay activists have pointed out that science has shown that at least in men, "sexual orientation is completely inborn".

Unfortunately even after all of this the billboard company insisted that the billboard stayed up for its term.
