For many husbands and wives to be, agreeing on signing a prenup and deciding what the best option would be for your future marriage is a tough decision to make since there are so many aspects to consider.

While many people end up signing or not signing for the sake of keeping their partners or themselves happy, this young woman was left completely confused as to what she should do and took to Reddit to ask other users what their opinion was about the prenup she was given to sign by her fiancé.

According to the bride-to-be, her partner, a neurosurgeon, had given her the prenup and suggested she go through it with his dad who's a lawyer. Once she looked through the prenup she understood why she would need a lawyer present.

The prenup stated that should she cheat on her husband she would walk away from the marriage with nothing, it went further to say that for every baby she was able to give him she'd be given a lump sum of money.

The woman was very puzzled about the last one and was not too sure what her fiancé meant by paying her for having children, telling Reddit users "the oddest of them all to me is the compensation for children clause.

I am not sure if I interpreted this correctly so anyone may correct me, but in the prenup my fiancé mentioned that for every child I have for him, I get a chunk of money, which to me doesn't sound legal but maybe it is?"

But for Reddit users the fiancé asking her to lose 30lb (13.6kg) at least a year after giving birth to each of her children, was completely insane.

Expectedly, the comment section was filled with comments from users who had many suggestions of what he could do with the prenup.

One user commented "I've seen a few compensation for children clauses, so I'd guess that is either common or at minimum; not crazy.

Another said, "The losing weight thing is insane."

While another commented, "A pregnancy takes a lot out of a woman, and it can take literal YEARS to recover. He very clearly doesn't have you or your child in mind with that suggestion"

This user offered the woman what I consider useful advice, "You can also make him sign some conditions. Eg. If he goes bald, he needs to pay you some amount. If he is unfaithful, all conditions of the prenup are null and void."
