As Mother’s Day is just around the corner, radio and TV presenter Pearl Modiadie took the time yesterday to remember her late mother. She lost her mother nine years. She admits that she is still hurting and sad.

“It’s the 9th of May and this day will forever take me back to the moment I lost my mother. Remembering her actually hurts today. It feels like she has died all over again and it has made me very sad,” she admits.

Pearl recalls the day as if it was yesterday in an Instagram post with details of what happened that day.

“I had fed her that morning and she kept asking all of us what time it was. That should’ve been the biggest sign that she was preparing to take her last breath, but we didn’t think much of it because she had made such great progress since leaving the hospital,” she shares.

Unfortunately, the time her mother kept asking came for her and she passed away. It was difficult for Pearl to accept that her mother was no more and tried to convince herself that her mother was just asleep.

“I remember laying on her chest having convinced myself that she was only sleeping, that she’d wake up. She didn’t wake up & every year we remember her on this day,” she posted.

Her fans were sympathising with her and The Zaziwa presenter assured them that she was doing just fine not withstanding the fact that she also had words of encouragement for others.

“I had a good cry when I got home today and I feel much better. All my love to everyone who’s hurting, there’s strength in being vulnerable. You don’t have to be strong! I pray for your healing and finding peace in the midst of it all,” she responded.
