Benefit Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer. Expect smooth eyelids and eyeshadow that lasts all day long. With a SPF 20 it also helps to guard your delicate eyelids against sun, smoke and pollutants. Available at Benefit Canal Walk.
QMS 24-hour cream. A lovely lightweight cream that
glides on smooth as silk and left my skin feeling supple and hydrated. It comes with a tiny spatula so you can apply the
cream without using your fingers. As a day cream, the only drawback for
South African consumers is that it has no built-in sunscreen. R770 at Future This - Eugenie du Preez
Eight Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil. Let's just take a moment to acknowledge that everything Eight Hour Cream is, basically, the best ever. This Vitamin E richoil can be used on your face, body and hair. It might just be our new favourite product. R385 in department stores nationwide from 11th January 2016.
Physicians Formula Argan Oil: Yes, it does sound like something you'd purchase from an apothecary. The best use I found for it was as a deep moisturiser for hands, heels and elbows. Mixing it into your BB cream or liquid foundations gives your skin a radiant finish. Using it as a hair treatment means greasy hair will happen, so plan that use carefully. The versatility of this product makes it a great staple to have in your beauty cabinet. - Annzra Denita
Beauty Fix Radiant Make-Up Finish.
Containing rosewater, aloe vera and cucumber extract, this superfine hydrating mist blends make-up and revitalises the skin. Each spritz releases the luxurious scent of a bouquet of roses. Available here.
L'Oreal Professional Vitamino Color A-OX Color 10 in 1.
This miracle product goes a long way as it has 10 instant benefits to improve the look and feel of colour-treated hair. Spritz it on damp hair to protect when styling or to strengthen as it dries. It is enriched with fennel seed extract, xylose and a natrually derived oil blend. Try it! R310.00

Johnson & Johnson tissue oil. I have been using it around my stretch marks area on my tummy - applying it twice a day - and it has really softened my skin. Now my skin looks more hydrated and I love the fact that it never left any oil marks on my clothing, as it dissolved into my skin quickly. Available nationwide at Clicks and Dis-chem - Riana Morgan
L'Oreal Paris Collection Exclusive Color Riche Lipstick, Naomi. The smell is gorgeous, however, I struggled a bit with the texture due to the matte finish. Apply too little and the colour is almost too subtle due to its natural hue. Apply too much and it becomes a bit powdery and not smooth enough. That said, I definitely enjoyed the colour on my winter skin, but I think it will look even better when I'm a bit more tanned. R154.95 at Clicks and Edgars - Kate McLeod
of the first real loves of my life was the YSL Touche Eclat highlighting
pen. Now, YSL makeup is
almost impossible to come by in SA – so I was delighted
to be presented with the Flawless Finish Correcting and Highlighting Perfector by Elizabeth Arden. It’s
exactly the same design as the Touche Eclat pen with the clicking
The first time using it I had to click the pen about 20 times – but
after that – it’s one click and you have your perfect daily dose of
beauty balm. The pen is designed for applying the BB cream to specific
areas for highlighting and concealing. It works very well for concealing
dark circles and filling in fine lines as it kind of reflects off your
skin. R295 - Catherine Shone/ All images: supplied
