I love trying new hairstyles. It’s one of the properly girly things I take much joy in. I also love looking at hairstyling hacks, like this list I found on Buzzfeed. Which doesn’t always mean I’ll try them all, but it’s fun to look at. For me, at least.
So I found this hairstyle, and decided to try it on our dear Lili (or as I like to call her, Lilipad) at her desk. In our open plan office. Because we can.
It’s quick, easy to do, and works for medium length to long hair. Oh, and it doesn’t matter if you’ve just washed your hair or if it’s as dirty as the space behind the fridge.
This is the end product.
Pretty, no?
Here are the steps:
1. Comb your hair, and section it in half. If you have a fringe, or want some hair hanging out, brush it forward.
2. Make two high ponytails. Separate said ponytails into two pieces, and twist together. Remember to secure them at the ends so they don’t unravel.
3. Remove the ties from each twisted ponytail, and then wrap them together. Make sure to cover the areas where your hair ties stick out.
4. Pin it into place, and loosen the twists slightly with your fingers for a more full, ‘messy’ look.
5. Spray on a teeny bit of hairspray, and voila!
Easy, right? So try it, and tell us (or, even better, show us) how yours went!
