Stencilled hair, made popular by American artist and hairstylist Janine Ker of Salon Aguayo, is the latest styling trend that’s gotten everyone talking.
The composition is literally what the name suggests, stencilling your hair in various shapes and colours and turning your head from a blank canvas into a lovely work of art.
Ker told BangStyle that when using stencils it’s important that the hair style and design work together and not “fight for attention”. If you’re doing this you need to consider the size, shape and placement on your hair.
According to Teen Vogue, Ker sketches her designs prior to the stencil by using khoki pens and coloured pencils to get the full effect and then sprays the temporary colour onto the hair using cardboard shapes as a guideline.
