Fruity, sweet fragrances are taking the world by storm. Juicy notes like oriental musk, dulce de leche, orange flower, jasmine sambac and frappuccino found in the new Britney Spears fragrance, Private Show (R665 for 100ml) seem to tickle the fancy of millennials everywhere.
Lipsticks are just sooooo last season. Opt for a nice lip oil, liquid matte lipstick or an ink instead. Stain your lips with the latest in beauty technology, products that leave your lips hydrated, soft and bursting with great colour. I seriously love the Clarins Lip Comfort Oil, R295 (launching 10 October) as it is tinted but acts more like a gloss, a bit different from the Lancome Juicy Shaker Pigment Infused Bi-Phased Lip Oil, which sits a bit lighter on the lips. It really depends what you seek. I love both. Then my latest discovery, the Chanel Rouge Allure Ink, R610 (launching 6 October). Um, it's basically weightless on your pout. The colour lasts forever, while the jojoba oil protects your lips from the dryness usually associated with matte lipsticks.
Overnight masks might just be my new favourite thing. Use them as the final step in your nighttime beauty regime and sleep leaving it on. The Kiehl’s Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque is a fab option to try or go for my new indulgence, the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Overnight Firming Mask 50ml, R685. Not only does it lock in hydration via a moisture-sealing technology lock while you sleep, but it infuses skin with essential amino acids and minerals. Wake up to firmer, more supple skin.
