Lizzo has long been in the music industry, but her success in mainstream music is skyrocketing, and we love it. Her sound is not only a breath of fresh air in music, but Lizzo’s persona is relatable, unapologetic and everything we want to be when we grow up.
A brand that has picked up on this as well is Urban Decay, resulting in Lizzo’s first official big beauty contract. With a campaign celebrating people who are “Pretty Different”, the cult favourite beauty brand has partnered with personalities they say are “unique, powerful, inspiring and push boundaries”.
Seen wearing striking eye makeup looks in blue, and shimmery purple and pink, Lizzo also shows off radiant skin and the infectious personality we all love.
The other faces of this Urban Decay campaign who join Lizzo are Ezra Miller, U.S. actress Joey King, Colombian singer Karol G and South Korean musician CL.
Having been open about her journey to loving herself, with regards to being part of the campaign, Lizzo writes; “I love my wide face, high cheekbones and double chin!”
Having collected award nominations from Teen Choice Awards' best breakout artist to BET’s best female hip-hop artist, among others, Lizzo is well on her way to collecting multiple awards.
As we also wait for a clothing-slash-underwear line in the future because of course, who else would wear it as well as Lizzo?
