  • Felipe Adam has been obsessed with Barbie's mate, Ken, and refers to the doll as a ‘god’.
  • He wakes up at 2:30 every morning to do his make up so he can resemble Ken.
  • Felipe is saving up to make the transition permanent with a list of surgery procedures.

The 17-year-old boy spends four hours a day applying makeup to look like his favourite doll.

He says, “I loved Barbie when I was a child and always used to watch Barbie cartoons and draw pictures of her. I was impressed with her whole look and then I became obsessed with Ken. The Ken doll is like a god to me - a god of beauty of aesthetic perfection. I love his clothes, hair and even shoes - everything about him is perfect."

“I'm very creative so I used makeup to look like Ken as I am not old enough for surgery yet. I use a strong liquid foundation then enhance my features further by contouring –  using a highlighter and darker powder."

“It takes me exactly four hours to complete. When I was at school, I would wake up every day at 2:30 so I could calmly get ready and ensure nothing went wrong,” he says.

Felipe doesn’t promote plastic surgery but feels it is imperative for him to undergo multiple procedures - including a rib removal and silicone implants. He has carried out services such as lawn mowing and pot-washing in a kitchen to save for future aesthetics.

Felipe estimates he would need to spend a whopping 2 million Brazilian Real (just over R9 million) to look exactly like Ken.

“It is one of my biggest dreams to get surgery –  I am very passionate about aesthetic procedures and surgical interventions. I am in love with the human body, and surgery gives us the power of us to become who we want, I want to become a doll and I hope that surgery will make my dreams come true," Felipe says.

“I want to get the procedures done when I am 18 to improve my appearance and stay with high similarities to the doll."

"I would need two ribs removed to get a thin waist like the dolls and silicone implants in my arms to resemble Ken’s strong arms. Ken doesn't have wrinkles so I would need regular botox to ensure my complexion is always smooth. I would like veneers so my smile is perfect like Ken's," says Felipe.

"I also want silicone implants in my bum, arms and a surgical six-pack so then it is permanently there like Ken's rather than going to the gym and having to work out.

"Ken also has super smooth skin so I would need laser hair removal all over my body to maintain silky skin. I know it can be dangerous but I am not afraid of surgery, however, I do not recommend any procedure to anyone.”
