'Tis the year to swap out your violet eyeshadows and eyeliners for a warmer palette. Pantone's 2019 colour of the year is a warm, dreamy, and beachy shade of pink-orange; 'Living Coral' or Pantone colour no. 16-1546.
And when they announced this colour, we took the pledge to live coral in 2019 quite seriously.

This is why over and above wearing trendy threads in coral hues, we're sprinkling this shade of positivity and all things nice all over our faces too.
Every year, the beauty community embraces Pantone's colour of the year announcement and incorporates it into makeup moodboards. Unlike previous years' shades, 2019's hue is much more universal in the sense that you don't necessarily be daring to give it a go. We'd imagine not everyone was brave enough to go 'ultraviolet' in 2018 or 50 shades of 'greenery' in 2017.
Allure confirms that this year will be different, since "Coral has long been one of the most popular makeup colors because it's flattering and easy to wear, but it also lends itself to bolder looks."
So this is what we're adding to our makeup collections in the name of Living Coral:
