Googling “best mani Cape Town” is something I’ve done many a time. Yet I am always treated to a list of spas and salons – and not a curated list of THE BEST. You deserve the best, so here are some of the top spots for manis in Cape Town, Durban and Jozi:
Cape Town
I’ve probably had my best-ever manicures done at Perfect 10 and Placecol. Even though the manis were standard - just normal full manicures - it lasted exceptionally long. Both salons take such pride and care in their work that you walk out of the salon feeling like you had gelish done. The accuracy of the therapist’s paint-job really wowed me.
Ouredit.co.za says that they love Dante Wellness Spa in Sea Point for manis, while CT beauty blogger Cynthia Gwebu trusts in Diva Nails Beauty and Foot Spa as they are great with trendy acrylic nail designs. She also frequents Lila Vie Unisex Hair and Nail Salon.
If you wanna go a bit Gaga like getting stiletto nails, hologram, chrome and marble nails call on Marina Joy De Mink Nails.
Or give Minelliart a go, she is a celebrity nail stylist and artist known for her OTT looks.

Durban
Fashion and beauty blogger Brett Robson of Durban says that she only goes to two spots, The Beauty Bar in Morningside and The Nail Factor in Musgrave. Nail art lovers will also want to visit Fancy Claws for some over-the-top claws.
Another Durbanite, and one of our fitness muses, Andene Horne of healthygirl.co.za, says she loves going to The Skin & Nail Bar based in Durban North – especially for manis and pedis. Another spot to consider is Deluxe Nails by Janine van der Merwe, based in Glen Ashley & Florida Road. Andene says: “Janine operates from home and is my GO-TO person for some nail pampering!”
Jozi
For a last-minute, can-you-squeeze-me-in-mani: Sorbet Quickie. No fuss, just file, buff and paint. Grazia beauty ed Sinead Martin says her fave is the Sorbet Bar in Hyde Park.
For a-serious-attention-to-detail-mani: Nail and Body Lab in Blubird shopping centre. Ask for Charlie.
For a little-something-extra-mani: Polish Nail Spain Parkwood. Every client gets their own nail file!
For a catch-up-with-your-bestie-mani: Toast & co. in Craighall (book in advance!).
For a-major-nail-art-mani: Try the fab Sherbet Angel in Parkhurst.
