Your handbag may have more germs than a toilet

Our bags are part of what makes us wonder women. They’re more than just bags.

They carry most, if not all of the essentials that we need daily.

But, in addition to perfume and that pair of just-in-case flats, our handbags have been known to carry some pretty surprising items that most of us are unaware of.

According to Medical News Today, one in five women’s handbags contain more bacteria than a toilet.

Researchers say that because our handbags and hands come into contact with variety of surfaces, it’s easy to transfer those germs into bags and its contents.

Who would have thought that these carriers of some of our biggest life-savers can actually be a health hazard?

So, if you, like me, hardly ever take time to clean out and tidy your bag, you might want to start now.

You can start by cleaning or washing your bag on a regular basis and also make sure that you always carry wipes or sanitizer to cleanse your hands after placing it in your bag.
