Feel hopeless when it comes to applying eyeshadow? You might be trying a style that's completely wrong for your eye shape.
Eyeshadow is one of those beauty products that can transform your look completely. There are so many different shades and textures to choose from, and blending colours can truly create a very unique look.
However, not all eyeshadow styles work for every eye shape. That's why it's important to know which style works for you.
So, want to learn how to make your eyes pop? Take a cue from these lovely celebs:
1. Monolids (basically crease-less lids) like supermodel Karlie Kloss
Monolids give the eye a natural cat-eye shape. Refinery29 says that you can accentuate this shape by sweeping a liquid eyeliner across the lash line and flicking it at the ends. You can also create this effect by using a dark, intense eyeshadow to enhance the shape. 2.Almond-shaped eyes like Kendall Jenner
The general consensus is that most eyeshadow styles work with this shape of eye. So count yourself very lucky if you have this shape. Metallic and smoky styles work especially well with this shape, according to Refinery29. Try the Max Factor Excess Shimmer Eyeshadow – 20 Copper, R129.95.
3. Round eyes like Katy Perry or, you know, Bambi...

Add a darker shade to the outer-corners of your eyes, sweeping it into a feline flick. Sugarscape.com says that this will create a more angular shape, which will really make your eyes pop. Try the CHANEL Illusion D'Ombre in "Fleur de Pierre" (N°106).
4. Hooded eyes like Selena Gomez
Hooded eyelids and eyeshadow tend to be a lethal combo as smudging can be a real issue.
As it's going to smudge anyway, why not go for a smudgy look? Make sure you apply the eyeshadow with a windscreen-wiper motion, says Refinery29.
