The wedding is done. Your feet are tired from all the dancing. Your heart is full of love and, to be completely honest, you're probably glad it's all over. All you're really looking forward to now is a carefree getaway where you can begin your life with your Number 1.

But a honeymoon doesn't have to be expensive and you definitely don't have to leave the country. South Africa is one of the most beautiful places in the world and often we don't get to explore the parts of our country that we don't live in.

Here are some easy on the pocket honeymoon destinations in good ol' RSA.

The Baths, Western Cape

Located in Citrusdal in the Western Cape, The Baths is a hidden gem. It's centred around the hot springs that provide the pool and spa baths with lovely warm bath temperatures. And for a province that is currently in a drought this is probably the only place you'll get to have a bath for a long time.

They offer hiking trails and rock pools that are also fed from the natural hot springs. Cellphone reception is limited so if you're looking for a getaway where you need to unplug, this is ideal.

The Olsen house units are ideal for honeymooners as they have private jacuzzi baths and great double walk in showers.

Cost: Starting from R750 per unit per night

Old Mac Daddy, Western Cape

The Old Mac Daddy trailer park is such a fun place to spend a couple of days. Not too far out of Cape Town, you'll find much to keep you occupied here. From zorbing to archery, mountain biking and sun bathing by the lake, you're guaranteed to have a good time.

Each American Airstream Caravan is individually decorated. A popular one is Give Bees A Chance. It's one of the slightly larger ones and is close by the pool and the restaurant.

Cost: Starting at R1395 per unit
