Think about it

Others can get away with writing a few words on a piece of paper minutes before the wedding but it’s not advisable. You need to think through about this wonderful human being you’re about to make a commitment to. Why did you choose him? How does he make you feel?

Create a list

This list should contain his good and the bad side. From that list you’ll be able to write well constructed sentences that will have him weak at the knees.

Write a draft

Your wedding day will probably be the most special and memorable day of your life so naturally you’d want everything to be perfect. Write something until you feel satisfied. Don’t worry if the words don’t come to you at a go. You could write a sentence or two each day and before you know it you’ll have enough to say.

Avoid leaving it for last minute

The week before the big day is usually the most stressful and thinking about what you’re going to say is the last thing you want to be worrying about. Get this out of the way as quickly as you can before the wedding jitters get the better of you.

Get inspiration

If you’re struggling to put your feelings on paper, watching a couple of romcoms might help get the ball rolling. If you have a favourite song together that resonates with you as a couple you’re more than welcome to add a line or two from it.

Don’t forget the three magic words

Saying ‘I love you’ might be seem like the most obvious thing for a couple getting married, however most couple forget to say this. Hearing how much your partner loves you is always great.
