It’s safe to say, this pandemic has made most of us realise who and what is important to us. You can imagine how many brides have done alterations to their original wedding plan, from venue and décor to the number of guests they want to have. After all, the regulations keep changing and we've gone from none to less than 50 guests allowed per wedding.

An Australian bride took to Facebook to share her invitation list that ranked the guests in order of importance. The bride-to-be posted a photo of an invitation titled ‘Important Notice’ in a bridal group on Facebook addressing friends and family. A guest screenshot the invitation and posted it on Twitter that read, “Please understand that tour venue is limited in the number of guests we will be able to accommodate for our wedding day.”

The note continued to inform the family and friends that they’ll be split into groups of three, namely Group A, B, and C. “Group A, RSVP as soon as possible. We appreciate your promptness as we will be able to extend any vacant seats to additional guests.”
The note continued to tell Group B and C to please keep a close watch on the wedding website for a notice in case they have space available. The note ends with the couple urging guests who would love to attend the wedding to hire a babysitter as children are not allowed to attend the wedding. “We also ask for our single guests to forgo their plus one, if possible.”

Twitter had a mixed reaction to the viral invitations with some saying, “If they’re trying to limit due to COVID, then they should have just sent out very few invites. If I were apart of this group of friends, I’d say, please don’t bother.” Another who was unhappy with the invitation added, “I hope they got a lot of declines. This is just a wow. As in 'Wow! How awful'.”
In contrast, some users agreed with the decision made by the couple, with one saying, “It doesn’t seem too unreasonable to me considering we are in the middle of a pandemic,” and another added, “In my day you invited the B group to the dance after the dinner. We can accept there’s a hierarchy, it’s all in how you manage it."
