A video of a man proposing to his girlfriend during his sister’s wedding has gone viral and upset many social media users.
In the video which was shared by the bride’s cousin, Devon on Twitter, the bride can be seen giving the bouquet to her brother’s girlfriend and when she (the girlfriend) turns around, she finds her boyfriend kneeling on one knee and asking her to marry him.
“At my cousin’s wedding and my brother did this…,” Devon captioned the video.
Many tweets were upset at this and accused the brother of ruining the bride’s special day.
But according to Good Morning America, the bride, Sierra McGinty-Rush was in on it and had helped her brother prepare for this moment six months prior to the wedding.
“If he proposed anywhere else, I wouldn’t get to see it, so it was only right,” McGinty-Rush told the publication.
Speaking to the publication, the bride’s brother, Solomon McGinty said he had been planning to propose his girlfriend Baylee Gillmore but was hesitant when his sister suggested that he does it at her wedding.
“I was like ‘But that’s your day, I don’t want to take away from you,’ but (Sierra) was like, ‘I want you to do it (at the wedding)," he said.
The video currently sits at 4.1 million views on Twitter and has many talking.
