The couple will be saying their 'I dos' for the second time on 31 December.

The couple's KFC proposal went viral earlier this year leading to the country jumping on the bandwagon to help plan their wedding. Social media users even wanted them to do a national wedding, open to the entire country.

Hector says they also wanted the same thing but matters were out of their hands.

“The venue that my beautiful bride and I wanted was FNB stadium so that we could accommodate as many people as we can. There were so many people who requested to attend the wedding and we also had it in our hearts. Unfortunately, we were told that the stadium is already booked for the date so we had to find a different venue.”

Hector says the venue they are going to use can only accommodate 250 people and they feel bad that they cannot accommodate everyone but there is nothing they can do.

They are planning make it up to their fans by doing a province-to-province tour just to meet and greet people after their wedding.

“If God allows us we want to work hand in hand with the artists who will be having events, so that we can do our appearances then,” says Hector.

The couple is planning to have a royal/Queen Elizabeth themed wedding with gold and champagne as the theme colours.

“There are people who are making sure that the wedding is exactly how we want it and they are doing a very good job. I want my wife to feel like a queen because she is my queen, even her dress will show that,” Hector says.

All Hector wanted when he proposed at KFC was for his wife to feel warmth in her heart but to their delight, Nonhlanhla is getting more than that.

“We don’t go to bed without talking about what is happening in our lives. God looks at your heart. I was just showing my wife how much I love and appreciate her and now she will get a wedding she never dreamed she would be having.”

With all the pledges that were made towards their wedding, Hector says many people and companies showed and fulfilled their promises even though they cannot get hold of others because they are now closed for the holidays.

“We are just counting the hours until our wedding day. My suit and my bride’s dress are ready and my wife seems speechless with her dress and I am happy with the groomsmen's suits. The cake is also ready," Hector says.

His bride's dress is worth more than R30 000. "She is truly being pampered."

Their families are still lost for words and excited to see how things are going to turn out.

“They see something they have never see before in the family. We are both the first to get this kind of love and wedding,” says Hector.

Hector says that after their wedding they will be flying to America for their first honeymoon.

“We have so many places when come back for our honeymoon and we will experience them all. After coming back from America, we will be in Durban for the second honeymoon.”
