Italian photographer Marianna Zampieri is offering a unique service for brides who love their cats but couldn’t have them there for the big day itself.
A self-confessed “cat lover” herself, Marianna came upon the idea for the post-wedding shoot after feeling disappointment that her own cat Arthur wasn’t able to be a part of her nuptials.
“When I got married, I wanted so much to have some photos with Arthur, so I decided to do a special shoot just for us,” Marianna told Cover Images.
“A couple of friends, who I’d already photographed, had contacted me for just the same reason: they were about to get married and wanted their beloved three cats to take part in that momentous event.
“But they knew it would be difficult to take beautiful photographs on the day – too much emotion, too much confusion and too many people present for animals so habitual.
“So, a week after the wedding, I went to their home to immortalise the bride and groom in a series of photographs with their cats.”
Although Marianna isn’t a professional photographer, her passion for photography escalated after adopting Arthur five years ago.
“I wanted to show his beauty worldwide,” she says.
Since then Marianna has worked on various projects involving cats and now regularly photographs cats and their adoring owners in private shoots in the intimacy of their own home.
