This woman complained about her tiny engagement ring – but the internet is not having it!
A British woman admitted online that she was disappointed with her £5 000 (around R95 000) diamond engagement ring because it's “so small”.
The bride-to-be posted on NetMums, a parenting advice forum, that her future hubby had organised a romantic proposal in Italy but she was disappointed with the 0,8 carat solitaire diamond and platinum ring he gave her, according to the Daily Mail.
The ring is described as being set quite low and laying flat on her hand.
She asked users whether she should reveal her feelings about the ring to her fiancé and was met with criticism.
The woman insisted that she isn’t “fickle” or “shallow” despite her reservations over the ring.
“Any advice or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated,” she added.
A top comment read, “Its not about the ring, its about the finger,” according to Fox News.
“As has been said, a lot depends on the shape and size of the wearer’s hands and fingers and the style and setting of the ring,” another person commented.
One forum-user didn’t hold back, saying: “You are spoilt and ungrateful and you have come to the internet in the hope that you will find support in validating your ungrateful selfish attitude.”
Someone else offered some advice. “Don't act like such a stuck-up, spoilt so-and-so and either split up or love the ring as much as the person it came from, but don’t moan about it.”
