L’ormarins Queens Plate (LQP) is a prestigious racing event that attracts the most style savvy of of our celebrities, influencers and media.
This is the oldest horse race event in South Africa and it takes place on the first weekend of the year at Kenilworth Racecourse in Cape Town. This year marked its 158th edition.
With it's strictly elegant blue and white dress code - celebrities, socialites and guests dressed in their best regalia, displaying their spectacular interpretations of the theme.
Some stars in attendance included actress Enhle Mbali Maphumulo, Nomzamo Mbatha, and Miss SA Tamaryn Green among others. Let's just say Philip Treacy-esque fascinators, hats, and bows were the order of the weekend.
Our local influencers also made sure to kick off the first weekend of Mzansi's fashion calendar with a bang. Cloaked in their stunning designs, this is what they served us.
Nomzamo takes our best dressed award for this year's LQP. Clad in all white, completing her ensemble with Anita Ferreira designs headgear.
If you were not there, you missed out on a relaxed weekend of sipping bubbles, looking fabulous, enjoying jazz music and watching a record of eighteen races.
See you next year? You bet.
