No one started 2018 better than rapper Cardi B. Her performance of Finesse at Sunday’s Grammy Awards got us moving and grooving.
Cardi and Bruno Mars sang the track for the first time on TV – and they did it in a splash of colour. According to the Rolling Stone, it was Cardi’s first Grammys too. Cardi and Bruno’s set was inspires by the hit ’90sshow In Living Color, according to GQ.
Cardi was nominated for two Grammys for her track Bodak Yellow, while Bruno bagged six awards.
But it was what the MotorSport star wore on the red carpet that got people talking even more.
Cardi stunned at the pre-Grammy gala, wearing a white strapless, floor-length ivory tuxedo gown.
For the main show at Madison Square Gardens, she wowed again in white – this time in a jaw-dropping princess-like white dress.
Both dresses are from Ashi Studio. designer Mohammed Ashi said, “The inspiration behind this dress was Cardi herself.
Her hard-to-miss personality [in a good way] is the reason the dress has this certain 'grandeur' that is also inevitably hard to miss.”
And according to Paper Magazine, the dresses took 150 hours to make!
