Polka dots, royal hues and statement headgear brightened up Steyn City at this weekend's inaugural Standard Bank Polo in the Park
Last weekend the 10th installment of the Pink Polo saw South Africa's top influencers, celebrities and fashion and entertainment media sprinkled like pink confetti all over the Val de Vie Estate in the Western Cape.
Exactly a week later, the Gauteng province got its own taste of luxury, as we enjoyed a sweltering, yet bubbly day at the Standard Bank Polo in the Park at Joburg’s most renowned mixed-use lifestyle resort, Steyn City.
This was the first-ever Action Polo on the African Continent and attendees certainly dressed as such with their various interpretations of the 'Nomadic Couture' theme.
However, given that SA's social scene has a deficit of major red carpet events that call for elaborate gowns to be worn, it's understandable that some guests showed up in looks some would consider 'overdressed' for the polo. Even so, we managed to spot those who struck gold with their polo 'fits by finding balance.
But first, this is what everybody's favourite MC wore:
Amanda du-Pont in Diane Paris
And these were the looks that stood out the most to us:
Ayanda Thabethe in Cinnel Store
Michelle Mosalakae in Nedim Designs
Kefiloe Mabote in Kentse Masilo
Sarah Langa in Gert-Johan Coetzee
Melody Molale in Blue Chic SA
Siya Dzenga in Diane Paris
Camagu and Nomhle were self-styled
Lesedi Mashale in Bride & Co
K Naomi in SnB Designs
Ms Vanie in Stiles Collection
Zoe Msutwana in Diane Paris

Paid homage to my all time favourite fashion moment in a movie for the #SBPoloInThePark. This past Saturday, I decided to give Vivian Ward’s iconic polo look a modern twist. Added one of my favourite must-have accessories for the season (Alice band) and mostly kept my look pretty simple...My stunning jumpsuit is by @dianeparisofficial ????????
Plus, more polka dots
