The late Karl Lagerfeld, a revered international fashion icon, was Google's top trending fashion term of 2019.

The creative leader of the world’s top luxury fashion brands, including Chanel, Fendi and his namesake label, died in February 2019 after he missed a post-show bow for Chanel the month before due to illness. The fashion designer passed away at the age of 85 after battling ill-health for several weeks.

Following the announcement of his passing the fashion community around the world has mourned his loss.

One of the multiple ways the fashion industry has shown tribute to Karl Largerfeld is by having fashion leaders and his friends create different designs on white shirts, which have become synonymous to the fashion legend’s iconic look.

The famous faces - Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne and designer Tommy Hilfiger - have all designed white shirts in tribute of Karl Lagerfeld and their efforts will go on display at Pitti Uomo in January 2020.

Pitti Uomo is the renowned international event for menswear and men's accessory collections, and for the launch of new men's fashion projects. The new designs will be displayed alongside Karl Lagerfeld collections for Winter 2020.

The shirts were exhibited on September 2019 in Karl Lagerfeld stores.
