Bloem model walks alongside Naomi Campbell in Dolce & Gabbana fashion show

Ansolet Rossouw, the Bloem model who recently walked the runway for Chanel at Paris Fashion Week was once again selected to be part of a very special fashion show, held at the Metropolitan Opera in Lincoln Centre, New York City ahead of the annual Met Gala to be held on 7 May 2018.

The almost 19-year-old Bloemfontein native strutted alongside industry veterans like Naomi Campbell, Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls wearing a beautifully crafted D&G creation.

James Emanuel, Ansolet’s manager at FANJAM Model Management told W24 that Ansolet has now started her full time high fashion career with a shoot and cover for Hermès and document journal magazine in Paris this week. Then she's on to her debut in NYC for the D&G couture show and directly after that off to Milan for Versace. 

"We all are very excited about the overwhelming response to this beautiful star," says Emanuel.

Dolce & Gabbana showcased a new couture collection that closely ties in with this year's theme for the Met Gala which is 'Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination'.

The show was uniquely diverse in that it included a) models from around the world (yay Ansolet!), b) various models of colour, c) older and younger models, and d) models of diverse body shapes.
