Bonang's latest Instagram post has us double-tapping for reasons related to a particular Kate Moss LBD

When she whose Instagram posts often have us gushing and she who reigns supreme posted a picture of herself in an LBD, we couldn't help but double-tap, further confirming Bonang's star power and viral fashion impact in South Africa.

In the IG posts simply captioned "... dinner time" and "Wednesday" respectively, Queen B looks immaculately styled as usual in an asymmetrical figure-sculpting LBD, statement sunglasses and Saint Laurent heels.

After appreciating yet another style moment from Bonang, we experienced a bit of 2018 Met Gala déjà vu, so I ventured on a very quick sartorial sleuth.

With my inkling of where SA's favourite presenter got her outfit inspiration from officially confirmed, I proudly present to you the following findings.

Heavenly bodies in Saint Laurent

Remember when a bevy of supermodels, including Kate Moss, showed up to last year's 'Heavenly Bodies: Fashion & The Catholic Imagination' themed Met Gala in Saint Laurent LBDs?

Now you do.

In her first Met Gala appearance in nine years, Kate showed up in a halterneck LBD with ostrich feathers from the house of Saint Laurent.

Miss Matheba opted for an asymmetrical cut with a larger than life leather bow. We can't confirm if this LBD is a YSL number, though.

Also pictured alongside Kate are Amber Valletta and Mica Arganaraz in black leather Saint Laurent heels with ostrich feather detailing. These are the same ones Bonang is wearing in her IG post - the Iris 105 sandals, which retail for R16 900 at 2 A in Hyde Park - a mother store of the Apsley store also in Hyde Park, Johannesburg.

....Wednesday. ??

Anthony Vaccarello has given us cult favourites since he became the creative director of saint Laurent. He took the fashion world (and Instagram) by storm with his black patent leather Opyum logo heels from the Spring/Summer 2017 collection.

And although the Irisi 105 heels have been around since 2018, they might now be the next mass shoe hysteria, especially judging from the comments on B's Instagram post.
