The African Fashion International (AFI) Fashion Week took place this past weekend at the Sandton Convention Centr an TV presenter and actress, Thembisa Mdoda, did a superb job hosting the red carpet.
With the hashtag #IAMAFRICA, South African celebrities took to the red carpet, dressed for the evening presenting what being African means to them. Stars such as model and presenter K Naomi, African Fashion Unite co-chair and current reigning Miss South Africa Zozibini Tunzi, actress Samkelo Ndlovu, model Rosette Mogomotsi Ncwana, TV and Radio personality Khanyi Mbau, actress Zandile Msutwana as well as model and entrepreneur Babalwa Mneno gracing the red carpet with bold colours.

Thembisa Mdoda
The host showed up in a Dainty Frocks gown, looking absolutely stunning in a pink and turquoise African print.
Zozibini Tunzi
The reigning Miss SA showed up in a red sequin two-piece, with a black lacy top and leopar heels.
K Naomi
The stunning K Naomi, looked fashionable as always with a pink Diane-Paris dress, black pointed heels and a shoulder-length bob. We couln't help put give her extra points for the simple yet elegant look.
Samkelo Ndlovu
The gorgeous Samkelo showed some legs with her sequin jumpsuit and peach platform heels.

Khanyi Mabau
Ever the trend-setter, TV presenter and actress, Khanyi didn't disappoint in a nude dress, with brown lace shoulders matching her skin tone with tassels hanging from above the knee and sparkling golden peep toe heels. The see-through number was the perfect marriage of red carpet glamour and a touch of Khanyi's personal style.
Rosette Mogomotsi Ncwana
Model Rosette did justice to her red-hot outfit which, paired with a matching lipstick, made for the perfect red-carpet look. We're all for the combo of the blazer with the six-layered skirt.
Zandile Msutwana
Actress Zandile attended the show in a black dress with a traditional print bow and belt, matching the look to a black peep-toe heel. Her minimalist make-up complemented the look.
Babalwa Mneno
Draped in House of Jahdara, the stunning ‘Barbielish’ stepped out in an inticate ensemble - a mixture of lace, dark nude and black tassels. We totally approve of this look.
